Naturschwimmbad St. Veit im Pongau, Salzburg
Das alte Freibad der Marktgemeinde St. Veit im Pongau (Salzburg) bestand aus einem Naturbadeteich mit 1.386 m² sowie einem konventionellen Beckenbad mit etwa
360 m² Wasserfläche. Die Badeanlage war stark reparaturbedürftig und wurde im Zuge der Sanierung zu einem Naturschwimmbad mit biologischer Wasseraufbereitung umgebaut. Das neue Naturbad weist eine Gesamtwasserfläche von 2.100 m² auf, davon entfallen rund 1.140 m² auf den Badebereich. Etwas mehr als ein Drittel der Gesamtfläche ist mit heimischen Wasserpflanzen bepflanzt.
Der nördliche Teil der Badeanlage ist als Nichtschwimmerbereich ausgebildet. Dieser hat eine Länge von 25 m und eine Breite von 15 m. Der südliche Teil des Kleinbadeteiches wurde als Schwimmerbereich mit Sprungbecken projektiert. Im Süden und Westen des Schwimmerbereiches schließen die benötigten Regenerationsflächen an. Die Abtrennungen zwischen den einzelnen Bereichen des Naturschwimmbades sind durchströmbar, das gesamte Naturschwimmbad bildet einen zusammenhängenden Wasserkörper. Am Rand des Badgeländes ist eine Kiesfilteranlage errichtet, über die das gesamte Badewasser umgewälzt wird.
Als Zugang für die Badegäste dienen bekieste Flachufer sowie Stege aus Lärchenholz mit Einstiegsleitern und -treppen aus Edelstahl. Als Attraktionen stehen ein Sprungturm mit Plattformen in den Höhen 1,5 m und 3,0 m sowie ein Federbrett zur Verfügung. Für Kleinkinder gibt es zusätzlich einen beschatteten Sand-/Wasserspielplatz.

The old outdoor swimming pool of the market town of St. Veit im Pongau (Salzburg) consisted of a natural bathing pond with 1,386 m² and a conventional pool with approx. 360 m² of water surface. The bathing facility was in great need of repair and was converted into a natural swimming pool with biological water treatment in the course of the renovation. The new natural swimming pool has a total water surface area of 2,100 m², of which about 1,140 m² is accounted for by the bathing area. Slightly more than a third of the total area is planted with native aquatic plants.
The northern part of the bathing area is designed as a non-swimmer area. It is 25 m long and 15 m wide. The southern part of the small bathing pond was designed as a swimmer's area with a diving pool. To the south and west of the swimmer's area are the required regeneration areas. The entire natural swimming pool forms a coherent body of water. A gravel filter system has been built at the edge of the bathing area, through which all the bathing water is circulated.
Access for bathers is provided by gravelled beach and wooden decks with stainless steel access ladders and stairs. Attractions include a diving tower with platforms at heights of 1.5 m and 3.0 m and a spring board. There is also a shaded sand and water playground for children.
